FAQ
Albums of the day? Why?
Music has been a fixation of mine since I started playing in garage bands in high school. To keep myself from sinking into a musical rut, I try to listen to one album all the way through each day. It could be something familiar, something I've never heard before, or something where I've heard one or two tracks out of context of the whole album.
I've spent my professional life happily anonymous, but now I'm running to win the support of people in my district and around the country. People want to feel like they know the candidates they support - I know I do - and I've got a short time to make that possible. I'll do it with videos, with writing, and of course be meeeting people in person, and I'll do it with music, by sharing the album I'm listening to that day.
...and why the dinos?
One of the best things about the job I left was the flexibility it gave me to spend time with my kids. They've felt the change due to the campaign - events in the evenings and on weekends, long sessions on the phone. I want them to feel involved in some way. They've been obsessed with dinosaurs since before my older son could speak, and nobody in the family tells them no when they ask for more toys (except me). For the videos, the little one picks a dinosaur each day and the big one tells us what he knows about it (time permitting as we're getting out in the morning for school).
